Gerber’s next step: Nested Step & Repeat
Gent, Belgium - September 30th, 2015 - Printed circuit boards are fabricated in panels. The PCB is repeated a number of times, say n, on a production panel. It is more efficient to fabricate in panels than in single units. When a panel is fabricated it is split up in its constituent PCBs. The image file representing a panel must represent all the n instances of the PCB.
